Can you still die from Kidney failure if receiving dialysis?

My dad has kidney failure. Is on dialysis 3 times a week, 4hrs a time. He woke sat morning for dialysis very hazed and unsure of things but not in a hypo, was very sick. Slept almost completely since 2pm saturday afternoon. He is saying that he isn't completely better, still seemed in a delusional state. I have offered to get him food etc and all he has had since 5pm fri is a sandwich. I have been trying to get info on kidney failure but it says that you have a better chance if you have dialysis but no info about it if you are already receiving it. PLEASE HELP!!!
