Is it hard for a person who has been in prison to find a job??

My exboyfriend is in prison for the next 4 years...He was charged with ual conduct with a minor: attempt to commit: dangerous crimes against children. Will he ever a future OR ever go back to school?? He is considered a FELON right?? Isn't that what they ask on applications??? Thanks...I know an ex in an ex but he is a great friend and just wondering...curiousity....
