English people, does this make you warm at night?

You're right about a lot of things. But unfortunately they have pretty much succeeded in erasing all this from the younger generations memory. Scottish history isn't really taught about in the UK high schools - so they never get to hear about the The Highland Clearances. William Wallace is rarely spoken about without the words Mel Gibson attached. And if you talk about The Declaration of Arbroath many will just look at you with a blank stare. It's pretty sad when you think about it. :-/
