Why are there so many private aircraft accidents involving celebrities?

Although accident statistics for small aircraft are higher than commercial jets due possibly to less sophisticated navigation and autopilot equipment and possibly less experienced pilots I think the real reason is "the show must go on mentality". They frequently fly into out of the way small airports which lack the best landing aids, sometimes in weather that even a commercial jet won't fly in.
